MINT COMPANY INFORMATION

This seminar was very beneficial learning what and how your local library could help you in Business. The Speaker started speaking about MINT, this is a program that gathers Company Information. You can access this at your local library and it covers all LTD companies. You can search for companies by SIC, ( STANDARD INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION), there are lists of these classifications in all local libraries. Once this is done you have the resources to search top 25 companies within that sector. These reports contain information such as postal address, e-mail, contact numbers and who the directors are, not only this but will also let you know what other companies the directors are involved with. It will also show you the previous 5 years finances, Only slight downfall with this service is that it is only updated every Annual  Return and not not Bi-Yearly.

CREDITSAFE COMPANY REPORTS

This credit report can be done from the beauty of your own home or office, all it entails is sending an E-mail and awaiting to receive one back, the service is Free of Charge. Usually midweek if this is done you will have a response within the hour. The report itself will show details such as previous 5 year credit report, if the business has any CCJ's, their credit rating and also their credit Limit. You can use this service for EUROPEAN countries but how ever there is a charge of £17 + VAT. The reports themselves are similar to Experian but in the long run Experian reports are more detailed with regards to unincorporated companies.

KOMPASS WORLDWIDE

Kompass Worldwide covers 66 countries and 1.85 million businesses, you can access their details via your own PC but will need your library card. The database hold all B2B Data, you can pay for higher listings for your business or have a free one.
